Four Stellantis models take Best Small Van at the Auto Express Awards 2025

These award-winning small vans offer plenty of choice for installers.

Stellantis has swept the board at the Auto Express New Car Awards 2025, with its family of small vans — the Citroën Berlingo, Fiat Professional Doblò, Peugeot Partner and Vauxhall Combo — jointly taking the top spot for Best Small Van.

Auto Express called the decision “unprecedented” and praised the vans’ recent updates to technology, styling, and electric powertrains. This is on top of their versatility across different business needs. With Stellantis also holding a commanding 28.9% share of the UK’s electric van market this year, the win reinforces its position as a leader in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) sector.

For tradespeople and fleet operators, you’ve got a lot of choice among this lineup. Each model offers a mix of payload, range, comfort, and driver-focused tech. With both diesel and electric versions available, there’s a spec to suit just about every job. Here’s what you can expect from each of the four winners.

The Vauxhall Combo offers two vehicle length options, up to 1000kg of payload, and the option of diesel or electric variants. The latter is capable of up to 220 miles of WLTP combined range.

The Peugeot Partner also offers a choice of diesel or electric across its multiple configurations, cab lengths, and trim levels. With a strong focus on workday convenience and the latest in driver assistance aids, this remains a solid choice for a small van.

For full days of customer or site visits when every minute and hour counts, the Fiat E-Doblò and Citroen ë-Berlingo both offer advanced camera technology for easy parking manoeuvres, and a fast charge system that can take you to 80% of your battery in just 30 minutes.

Stellantis’ UK-based manufacturing facility, Ellesmere Port, produces all the small electric van models for Citroën, Fiat Professional, Peugeot, and Vauxhall. If you go electric, these award-winning small vans are also eligible for the UK plug-in van grant, which has now been extended to 2026.
