The launch of the new range gives installers the opportunity to offer an aesthetic and performance comparable to natural alternatives such as stone or quartz, but at a more affordable price point.
The refreshed Zenith range consists of 20 striking designs with an ultra-slim 12mm profile, replicating the texture of real stone and marble counterparts while ensuring the high-performance associated with these natural materials.
The surface manufacturer has also introduced six new decors which include the Marmor Paros and Pokhara Marble light stone finishes, Corroda and Don Tello Marble and Corrada dark stone options, complemented by the Raja Black and Anthracite Metal premium finishes.
Adding a new dimension to the range, Bushboard has developed a premium anti-fingerprint surface, which is available on its new décors. Traceless Premium has a velvety feel and deep matt finish which absorbs light to create a stunning result. The surface’s innovative technology also means micro-scratches are easily repairable using only a melamine sponge.
Each slimline worksurface, breakfast bar and upstand is made from premium compact laminate, which has been manufactured to achieve an ultra-slim profile of just 12mm. While this makes it possible to achieve a streamlined and sophisticated look that more homes are aiming for, Zenith can also be used to make the kitchen appear less functional and more style driven. Featuring a solid-coloured core, the final product is waterproof, as well as being highly resistant to impact and abrasion.
The on-trend designs have been complemented by six textures to ease the process of pairing surfaces for a bespoke look – regardless of the shape or size of a space. The waterproof and non-porous nature of Zenith surfaces allows for installation of undermount sinks to create curved edges and bespoke drainage areas.
The inclusion of Antibacterial Protection, which is added to the compact laminate in the form of a resin during the manufacturing process, serves to slow down bacterial growth by up to 99.9 per cent for the lifetime of the surface – making it an even greater sell for installers.
Elliott Fairlie, product lead at Bushboard, said: “The latest developments in kitchen worksurfaces show that thin is most definitely in so we’re looking to support installers with a range that allows them to offer that slim profile to a wider variety of customers than ever before. Slimline countertops can add instant appeal to any home aiming to recreate a luxurious look once reserved only for solid stone and marble, which makes Zenith a valuable addition to any installer’s existing range.
“Zenith provides a premium look without compromising on performance – these surfaces operate in the same way as stone or marble worktops, but with all the added benefits of a compact laminate. This enables installers to offer an extremely versatile, super-strong, slimline solution that is bound to appeal to homeowners.”
