To celebrate the launch of its Sustainable Home Network, Daikin has teamed up with Installer to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a DeWALT Toughsystem Sound Centre Radio and a DeWALT Brushless Cordless Combi-Drill.
Over the next ten years, the UK domestic heating industry is set to change considerably. With the Government’s formal 2050 carbon-neutral target and society in general becoming more environmentally-aware, the renewable heating market is growing at a rapid pace. In fact, the Committee for Climate Change (CCC) has estimated that, if we are to meet the 2050 carbon-neutral target, the industry will need to shift from installing an estimated 1.5 million boilers a year to one million heat pumps, by as soon as 2030.
To ‘power up’ installers and engineers in readiness for the change, Daikin has launched the Sustainable Home Network, designed to provide installers with the help, training and support needed to future-proof their business and successfully make the transition from boilers to heat pumps. Installers will enter this three-tiered programme as a Sustainable Home Installer, where they will receive comprehensive training on Daikin’s Monobloc heat pump range, providing them with all of the skills needed to be able to approach the new market with confidence.
In addition to training, Daikin offers on-site visits, help with achieving F-Gas accreditation, access to qualified customer leads and enhanced business support. Developed to be very much a partnership between the installer and Daikin, installers are provided with the business tools needed to, not only survive the changing industry, but also capitalise on the significant opportunities that the rising consumer demand and growing market presents.
Progression and expansion is encouraged, with installers able to advance to the next level of the programme: Sustainable Home Expert. Here, they will have full access to Daikin’s comprehensive range of low-temperature, high-temperature and hybrid heat pump systems, as well as further training, business support and rewards.
