Installer spoke to Andrew Clint, CEO of myenergi, about trends in the market, the company’s growing home energy ecosystem of products, and the importance of installers in the industry.
myenergi is celebrating its 10th birthday in 2026. Founded a decade ago by Lee Sutton and Jordan Brompton, myenergi is best known for its zappi EV charger, which lets users charge their EV from solar PV panels. After 10 years of growth and product innovation, the company offers a connected home energy ecosystem. As a UK manufacturer, myenergi designs and manufactures products, including the zappi EV charger, eddi solar power diverter and libbi home battery storage system.
“We are known for our EV chargers,” Andrew explained. “We often see our customers’ clean energy journey start with an EV charger. They want to charge their electric car at home, but that leads to interest in generating their own electricity with solar, storing it and using time of use tariffs with battery storage, and optimising that system to be as efficient as it can be.
“For installers, this is exciting, as it creates opportunities to support customers beyond installing a single product. .Most installers know us for zappi, but not all are familiar with our other products.
“These products are designed to work together through a single ecosystem, helping homeowners manage energy usage from one app. . That’s a big differentiator for us.”
The importance of installers
According to government figures, 2025 was the strongest year on record for solar deployment in the UK, and interest in battery storage and EVs is growing. For installers, this is creating new opportunities to add offerings to their businesses.
“Installers are very important indeed,” Andrew explained. “We’ve always worked closely with our installer partners. When the business first started, those early installers were the primary route to people getting our products installed.
“As the market has grown, larger companies have entered so it’s a different landscape, but installers still have a big influence on the customer’s decision and the products they choose. We’ve done a lot of work to make sure we’re the installer’s choice, which includes our training offering which now qualifies for CPD points for zappi training, and our Product Champion scheme.
“We’re keen to work closely with installers to make sure we’re making products, systems and initiatives that really work for them and their customers.
“The main message for is that myenergi is more than an EV charger manufacturer. We’ve got fantastic products that you may not even know about, manufacturered here in Grimsby, and a top class training and technical support offering.
“So get in contact meet our team, tell us what you think, and find out more.”
