Fernox helps support Shooting Star Chase hospice

Fernox has recently donated £6,348 to Shooting Star CHASE

After holding its fourth annual charity golf day, Fernox has recently donated £6,348 to Shooting Star CHASE. The much needed funds will go towards a range of services including day care and special activities, hospice at home, family support and therapies, care at the end of a child’s or teenager’s life and bereavement support for the family.
Attended by 22 companies from the domestic heating industry including leading boiler manufacturers as well as merchants and installers, the Fernox charity golf day was held at the Whitefield’s Golf Club in Warwickshire on the 16th May 2013. A real success – the event included an auction, a raffle, as well as prizes for a ‘Beat the Pro’ competition, where attendees got to pitch themselves against professional golfer Dave Mills.
The event was held to raise funds for Shooting Star CHASE, a children’s hospice service and a charity caring for over 600 life-limited children, teenagers and their families living in Western London, Surrey and West Sussex. Services are available 365 days a year, and families receive support free of charge, in their own homes and communities and at the Shooting Star House Children’s Hospice in Middlesex and Christopher’s Children’s Hospice in Guildford.
“Support from local companies like Fernox can make a huge difference to the lives of children and the families we care for,” said Alex Rennie, Head of Corporate and Trusts Fundraising at Shooting Star CHASE. “Our sincere thanks must go to Fernox and all those that took part in the charity golf day – the much-needed funds will go towards a range of vital services.”
