Gameweek 23-24

InstallerLEAGUE Final standings

Gameweek 23 played host to a range of mouthwatering fixtures. The prodigal son Solskjaer returned back to Old Trafford but this time as a manager for Cardiff City. Despite an impressive welcome the baby face assassin was unable to prevent the bluebirds from suffering a 2-0 defeat. Derby week in Merseyside as Liverpool hosted a lacklustre Everton side. The away side were all too daunted by Anfield and the mighty Kop. They were victims to a 4-0 drumming by an impressive Liverpool side content on making a statement this season. Surprise draw for Chelsea at home to West Ham. ‘Parking the bus’ was a phrase that drowned this fixture, as the Hammers did exactly that to earn a tough point. Manchester City travelled to Spurs to deliver another on point performance. Dispatching five goals past the home team, again this shows the pure superiority of the blues.
Gameweek 24 saw Fulham hit rock bottom after a poor display at home allowed visitors Southampton to slot three past the Londoners to leave them at the foot of the Premier League. Spurs couldn’t quite get back to winning ways. They had to fight back from 1-0 down to earn a point away to Hull. More dismay descending onto Manchester United as they were on the end of a bitter defeat to close rivals Stoke City, 2-1 to the Potters.  Chelsea haven’t been written off just yet. The West London blues travelled to the City of Manchester to take on Pellegrini’s side in a match that provided them with the perfect opportunity to stage an upset. A positive Chelsea side dominated and they were rewarded with the only goal of the game from the unlikely source of Ivanovic.
