All eyes this week were on the big clash between Arsenal and Manchester United. Fresh from their demolition at Anfield the North Londoners were keen to put that behind them and recoup three points to keep them in the running to what is becoming a four horse race. Unfortunately the fixture at the Emirates produced a disappointing bore draw however we think David Moyes would be more than happy with returning to Manchester with something. Adebayor continues to spearhead Tottenham’s quest for Champions League football next season by netting a further two goals this week against a lacklustre Newcastle side which resulted in Spurs leaving four goals up.
Chelsea could only escape the Hawthorns with just the one point after an impressive display from Ben Foster kept the home side in it. West Ham continue their formidable form by beating Norwich 2-0 at home. The Hammers now look like they may have escaped any threat of relegation, for now. Liverpool left it late at Fulham but a last minute penalty meant that Brendon Rodgers’s side claimed another three points and now find themselves four points off the top.
