It’s all getting quite claustrophobic at the top of the Premier League after this game week. A late winner from John Terry gave Chelsea the vital three points over Everton to keep them at the top of the table. Giroud managed to regain this after a PR nightmare and his goals helped Arsenal claim victory over a below par Sunderland side. The Gunners are now just one point behind table toppers Chelsea.
There was only one goal at the Etihad and lucky for Pellegrini it was City who claimed victory over Stoke. Liverpool continue to score bags of goals in the first half. Despite conceding three goals the Reds continue to extend their impressive home form after beating an ambitious Swansea side. With Spurs suffering a shock defeat on the road to Norwich, Brendon Rodgers’s side now have a bit of breathing space and occupy that coveted Champions League spot.
