Heating engineers can now gain an MCS-listed low temperature design qualification fully online through Warmur Academy’s Hydronics Unlocked.
“The new course is the first of its kind,” said Jo Alsop, co-founder of Warmur Academy.
“We’re delighted to offer heating engineers an on demand way to build essential system skills and gain an MCS recognised qualification at the same time.”
To mark the milestone, Warmur Academy has published a free guide to help installers see which heat pump installation and design qualifications are recognised for MCS certification.
The guide was created after installers told Warmur Academy they found it difficult to tell the difference between qualifications and other types of training.
Kimbo Betty said: “Good CPD courses are essential skills builders, but they don’t always come with the qualification you need to stay certified for work.”
“That’s why we’ve made the list of recognised qualifications a free download, making it easy to see which qualifications count, what they cover and how long they take. It also flags older qualifications that may need renewing.”
The list is available via Warmur Academy’s website and covers:
- MCS-listed heat pump installation qualifications
- MCS-listed low temperature design qualifications
- Combined installation and design qualifications
- Training providers, course lengths and delivery methods
- Legacy qualifications installers may need to update
- Useful CPD that is not MCS-listed
- Upcoming heat pump qualifications
