Vaillant has expanded its heat pump portfolio with the launch of the new aroTHERM pro air source heat pump developed specifically to meet the evolving needs of the social housing and newbuild market.
Available from April 2026, the aroTHERM pro models complement the brand’s aroTHERM plus range, widening its portfolio with additional lightweight, flexible, and smaller footprint options that enhance the existing offering and provide social housing and new build developers with a choice of solutions for properties of varying size and heating requirements.
The new aroTHERM pro range comprises three compact, highly efficient models (5 kW, 7 kW, and 11 kW outputs), all featuring single fan operation, a flexible space function and available in an anthracite colourway.
Designed from the ground up

Flexible space function: greater flexibility
To maximise plot value and make the most of internal floor space, external positioning has become increasingly important. The aroTHERM pro addresses these challenges directly.
An industry leading Flexible Space Function removes traditional installation barriers, allowing the unit to be positioned closer to windows and doorways, requiring less clearance around the unit to comply with protection zone requirements. This offers greater siting flexibility, particularly beneficial for space-limited plots and high-density housing developments where design freedom is at a premium.
The aroTHERM pro has been specifically engineered for space-restricted sites. With a height range of 0.75 m to 1.10 m, a smaller footprint and delivering outputs up to 11 kW, it offers a practical solution where space is at a premium without compromising performance.
The compact dimensions also simplify transportation, handling, and installation on site, often a key consideration for contractors working across multi-plot developments.

With regulatory change accelerating the move to low carbon heating technologies, Vaillant is committed to supporting the specification market on its journey to decarbonise UK housing, via a wide product portfolio that offer solutions for retrofit and new build projects and balances compliance, performance, and aesthetics.
With the rise in of R290 in heat pumps, the aroTHERM pro continues this drive towards improved environmental performance and includes this refrigerant as standard.
