High interest in Wet Room training course – extra date offered

The ‘Wet Room Design and Installation in Dwellings’ course, offered by APHC Ltd. in conjunction with Supplier Partner AKW, has seen high demand throughout its first year. So much so that additional dates are being offered on November 4th and 10th. The course is also available on-site at employers’ premises – quotations for this are available on request.
Aimed at installers who want to learn how to design and install wet room systems, the course enables delegates to promote themselves to manufacturers and local authorities to tender for work where wet rooms are required. Wet rooms are popular in the luxury bathroom market but the features of level access are also heavily specified for assisted living.
The one day course is designed to limit the amount of time off the road and includes three modules with a written assessment. The topics covered are an introduction to Wet Rooms; Pre-Installation Design; and Installing the Wet Room. Costs include the trainer, venue, lunch and refreshments at a competitive £200.00 +VAT (£150.00 +VAT for APHC members).
The Wet Room course is delivered by Graeme Dryden, APHC Technical Manager, with support from an AKW Technical Services Technician who provides insight into the latest innovations from AKW and offers valuable first-hand demonstrations of how products are installed, using AKW’s fully equipped demonstration van.
Graeme Dryden commented: “We are continuing to see increased interest in the APHC and AKW Wet Room Design and Installation in Dwellings course, and having just passed the one year anniversary mark, we are pleased to say that to date over 40 people have been trained on-site in this innovation.
“We, and our partners at AKW, believe that we have identified a skills gap within the industry and this specialist course gives installers the confidence to be able to correctly install wet rooms in a growing market.”
Cliff Jones Sales and Marketing Director at AKW commented: “We are delighted to be working with APHC to deliver these courses utilising the knowledge and experience we have gained designing and manufacturing bathroom products for the past 26 years. Sales of our product for luxury wet room projects are increasing, whilst we continue to maintain our market leading position in wet rooms for accessible living in social housing and care environments.”
All APHC courses have seen increased bookings in 2014 but there is still time to book for this year with the upcoming dates for the ‘Wet room Design and Installation in Dwellings’ course on 4 November and 10 November. There are also spaces available to book on the BPEC Cold Water Risk Assessment on 5 November; BPEC Sanitary and Above Ground Drainage course on 7 October and 2 December and BPEC Water Regulations course on 8 October and 3 December.
