How to bleed a radiator

Bleeding your radiators should be something you do on a regular basis to make sure your radiators are reaching their maximum heat and your central heating system is running as efficiently as possible.
If you’re finding that you’re radiator has cold spots or is warmer on the bottom than it is the top, then it could do with bleeding.
You local plumbing and heating installer will be happy to do this, but it’s a relatively simple process that people can do themselves. All you need is a radiator key or a screwdriver (depending on the radiator) and a couple of cloths.
