A major review of IGEM/UP/2 is aiming to clarify certain issues and make it far easier to implement across the industry. Barrie Church explains why the review is necessary and what areas it will concentrate on.
IGEM/UP/2, which covers non-domestic pipework and large domestic pipework over 35mm size, is currently under major review. An article on UP/2 published in Installer in 2008 explained its relationship to two European standards BS EN 1775 and BS EN 15001.
