Another van rally highlighting the ongoing issue of tool theft is being organised for 4th June 2026.
This time the rally will take place in Romford, outside the Magistrates’ Court. In a post on Instagram, Shoaib Awan, gas engineer and tool theft campaigner, said: “The two thieves we caught at the car boot sale after a major operation that uncovered £350,000 will appear at Romford Magistrates’ Court. This matters. We can’t allow this to end with a light sentence or a slap on the wrist. Accountability is important not just for us, but for the wider community.
“I’m organising a van rally outside the court, inspired by the energy and visibility of Parliament Square demonstrations. The goal is simple: to show up, be seen, and make it clear that people care about justice being done.
“This is about standing together and making sure our voices are heard in a responsible but powerful way. Police will be aware and supportive, and media coverage is expected, so this is a real chance to shine a spotlight on the issue.”
