Following the success of the very first VDE torque screwdriver to be launched on the market three years ago, Wiha has now introduced a new 3piece TorqueVario Set, giving electricians all they need from a torque screwdriver set all in a compact plastic carry tube.
Introduced in direct response to feedback from professional electricians, the new 3piece version of Wiha’s popular VDE TorqueVario offers a wide range of torque settings, from 1.0 to 5.0mm, to cover the whole range of manufacturers’ expectations across all switch gear sizes, ensuring that electrical work always complies with 17th Edition regulations.
The set includes a VDE Torque Handle 1-5Nm, with a torque setting tool and adapter blade, a SL/PZ 1 Terminal SlimBit and a SL/PZ 2 Terminal SlimBit. Incorporating the manufacturer’s SlimTechnology, the SlimBit drivers are up to 33% thinner in blade diameter than standard screwdrivers, making accessing tricky to reach low-lying fastenings and spring elements a breeze. The set’s TorqueVario handle, meanwhile, has an integrated scale for easy reference to the torque limit being set. This clever, time-saving feature means there is no need to count the number of movements to get the setting.
