Airflow Ltd has extended its Airovent MEV range of low cost continuous ventilation units with the launch of the HVS10 /6 model. With the new Airovent HVS10/6 MEV Unit, installers can connect up to six ducts of Airflows’ AirflexPro Zero Leakage Appendix Q eligible 75mm round ducting, combining the unique benefits of both products.
The HVS10/6 joins the WHV8, WHV8R, HVS10R and HVS10 range of units, which are all designed to provide extraction levels that comply with the latest Building Regulations 2010 (Part F) and are SAP Appendix Q Eligible.
Central extract ventilation or “System 3” is a continuously running mechanical extract unit with ducts running to moisture producing areas. All the units in the Airovent MEV range are small enough to be conveniently located in lofts and cupboards, to provide excellent, low noise extraction from ‘wet rooms’ such as kitchens, toilets and bathrooms – helping to reduce condensation problems. Natural ventilation via windows or doors then replaces extracted stale moist air within the home, ensuring a healthy indoor environment.
The Airovent is also an ideal solution under the Green Deal, providing both homeowners and installers with assistance in the reduction of any problems with condensation and mould, as well as any odours that may occur, as houses and dwellings become ever more insulated.
With three speed settings for low, medium and high-speed extraction, WHV8 and WHV8R provide quiet and continuous ventilation. While model WHV8R also comes equipped with a remote control and built in humidity sensor for full automation.
The HVS10 has 11 easily adjustable speed settings for comprehensive control suited to the individual requirements of the dwelling. Plus, model HVS10R again comes with a remote control and built in humidity sensor for full automation with 14 speed settings.
The addition of the HVS10/6 complements the whole Airovent range further with its innovative ability to connect to six ducts of Airflex Pro Semi Rigid ducting, by offering installers greater flexibility when installing an Airflow system 3 ventilation solution.
The Airflex Pro Ducting System is a quick and easy to fit system, using this ducting system the ducting can result in up to 70% time saving during the on-site installation process, compared to rigid or spiral duct methods. This innovative system can also be fitted in narrow joists, and due to its high crushability and can be run in concrete screeds for a permanent installation that will never degrade.
