Rinnai, the continuous flow gas water heater manufacture, has taken note of feedback from its installers and developed a totally new common header flueing system that will take the slog out of multiple unit installations.
Multiple installations in an interior plant room used to involve punching a hole through the building fabric for each individual unit, a time consuming necessity, so Rinnai’s launch last year of a common header flue system for its award-winning Infinity condensing continuous flow gas water heaters was warmly welcomed by installers. The common flue header eliminates the need for individual flue termination on modular banks of water heaters and large scale commercial systems.
Now, a year later after some intensive R&D, Rinnai has improved and updated its common flue header to further streamline installations of Rinnai condensing water heaters making the whole process significantly more time- and user-friendly.
Rinnai technical expert Peter Seddon explains: “The new system, which is offered at a very competitive price, has new and beneficial features to make installers’ lives that much easier. More aesthetically pleasing, robust and of exceptional build quality, the new system is tailored to Rinnai’s comprehensive condensing range.
“The new system is also designed to dovetail exactly with the Infinity Plus Cascade system developed specifically for multiple Rinnai Infinity HDC 1200 and HDC 1500 units, so there is no need for any alterations to pipe lengths, and no measuring – it is simply a case of fixing the flue and off you go. This represents a major result for installers in terms of time and effort so they can quickly get on to the next job, whilst also maximizing the flexibility of multiple continuous flow heater installations.
“We are also now able to offer bespoke systems with longer runs, and more headers. Our experienced sales consultants can advise installers, or they can simply let us know what they need and by using a sizing tool we can tailor make whatever is needed. This enables us to offer enhanced customer support,” says Seddon.
“And when to comes to delivery we are now able to offer a service whereby the whole package can be delivered to site in kit format which includes everything needed for the installation including units, flue header system, Cascade frame and all ancillary equipment and fixings.
The Rinnai HDC1500 and HDC 1200 units are fully modulating and frequently installed in a manifold arrangement ensuring the system will meet any hot water demand even at peak times. The advent of the new common flue system, along with the Cascade Infinity Plus modular frame, makes installing banks of product simple, quick and considerably less expensive in man hours thereby cutting labour costs to keep installers competitive in the marketplace.
And, there is no need to purchase specialist tools as standard tools used for heating, gas and water installation are normally sufficient for the assembly. All of which makes the installation of a high efficiency Rinnai system even more attractive to installers and ultimately their clients.
Typically, modular systems are specified in large commercial applications including factories, process applications, hotels, sports arenas and shower blocks in leisure centres and caravan parks, among other applications.
