REHAU officially launched its innovative new REHAU Easy Heat underfloor heating system at a ‘Back to the Future’ themed event at the Building Centre.
As well as giving guests a once in a lifetime opportunity to be photographed behind the wheel of the iconic DeLorean sports car which featured in the 1985 movie, the event also allowed them to see the exciting new product for themselves and learn about the success of a series of pilot installations already carried out.
REHAU Easy Heat is being called a ‘radiator in the floor’ because it can be installed as simply as radiators and offers homeowners the same levels of control and response.
Installed without manifolds into its own pre-routed REHAU Easy Panel structural floor system, REHAU Easy Heat system REHAU’s renowned PE-Xa pipework and fittings to give house builders and contractors a simple, cost effective and reliable way to meet the growing demand from home buyers for open plan living spaces with underfloor heating.
The ‘Back to the Future’ theme gave REHAU the opportunity not only to showcase the product which it believes will change the future of domestic underfloor heating in the UK but also to emphasise its proud past as a pioneer of underfloor heating technology in this country since the 1980s.
Speakers at the event included property developer and market commentator Gary McCausland of The Richland Group and installer Richard Thompson who carried out the first pilot installation of REHAU Easy Heat, alongside REHAU’s Technical Specifications Manager Tony Harbour.
The response to the product launch from the developers and contractors who attended was hugely positive and as a result REHAU expects to be able to announce details of the first completed Easy Heat projects very soon.
