Vaillant launches Sustainability Report for 2025

Vaillant sustainability report

Vaillant has published its latest Sustainability Report for 2025, setting out the company’s progress on its own sustainability journey and its continued investment in technologies and services designed to support the decarbonisation of heat.

As the UK’s journey to net zero accelerates, specifiers in the new build and social housing sectors are under growing pressure to make evidence-based heating system choices.

For today’s specifiers, sustainability extends beyond individual product performance. A manufacturer’s environmental credentials, investment in innovation, supply chain approach and ability to adapt to evolving regulations are becoming key considerations in long-term system selection.

Charting progress

Vaillant’s 2025 report demonstrates how sustainability and innovation are embedded throughout the business.

Highlights include investment in heat pump manufacturing, advances in high-efficiency boiler technology, digital services, and partnerships that support the wider heating sector and local communities.

The report also provides data on Vaillant’s progress in areas including energy consumption and efficiency, emissions, product reliability and performance, and the company’s wider approach to supporting evolving building standards and policy requirements.

This includes:

  • Continued investment in low carbon heating: Backed by a £50 million investment in manufacturing, Vaillant is strengthening its capability to develop and produce the next generation of low carbon heating technologies.
  • A broad technology portfolio: Continued development across heat pump and high-efficiency boiler technologies gives specifiers options as they respond to different building types, energy requirements, and stages of the UK’s heat decarbonisation journey.
  • Evidence-led product performance: The report provides information on how Vaillant products are designed to meet UK energy performance requirements and deliver efficiency gains, supporting specification and procurement decisions where building performance is a critical consideration.
  • Sustainability beyond the product: Vaillant Group’s SEEDS framework – Sustainability in Environment, Employees, Development & Solutions, and Society – provides an outline for addressing sustainability across the wider business and supply chain.
  • Supporting social housing: Partnerships and programmes in the social housing sector demonstrate how heating projects can contribute to wider community outcomes alongside energy performance.
  • Digitalisation and connected buildings: Investment in digital integration capabilities is supporting smarter building management, monitoring and system optimisation as the role of connected technologies in energy-efficient buildings grows.
  • Long-term market support: Continued investment in manufacturing, technology development and sector partnerships demonstrates Vaillant’s commitment to supporting customers and specifiers as heating requirements and regulations evolve.
  • Alignment with policy and standards: Vaillant continues to align its approach with evolving regulations and policy requirements, helping specifiers navigate the transition to low carbon heating.

Sustainability-led information to support tenders

For new build and social housing projects in particular, the availability of robust sustainability information can also support tender, procurement, and project documentation, enabling organisations to consider manufacturer credentials alongside product performance when assessing heating solutions.

Steve Cipriano, Commercial Director for Vaillant, comments:

“Specifiers increasingly need clear, credible evidence when selecting heating solutions that can deliver long-term performance, efficiency and value.

“Our 2025 Sustainability Report provides transparency around the progress we’re making across our operations, technologies and partnerships, while demonstrating our continued commitment to supporting the transition to low carbon heating.

“As building standards and regulatory requirements evolve, we want to give customers confidence that Vaillant has the expertise, investment and innovation needed to support them now and in the future.”
