Following the introduction of auto enrolment every employer in the country will be required to enrol almost every employee into an appropriate pension scheme.
The Plumbing & Mechanical Services (UK) Industry Pension Scheme is a qualifying scheme which continues to encourage firms in the industry to use the Scheme as their way of meeting auto-enrolment obligations.
The Scheme has recently announced the introduction of a new, reduced, contracted-in contribution rate to assist new employers while still providing a defined pension together with lump sum death benefit (at no extra cost) for employees.
