Here at Stuart Turner we have been investing a lot of time into reviewing our current processes to evaluate ways in which we can be more considerate to the environment as a company.
Our main motivators for doing so are not only to contribute to the safety of our staff, but to also improve our services in a more sustainable way.
Why is it important for us to make these changes? Our aim is to reduce our carbon footprint and operate more sustainably by working to reduce the negative impact we have on the environment.
Stuart Turner will be reducing annual paper waste by going digital in a bid to reduce our carbon footprint. You may have noticed that the Stuart Turner instruction manuals for our Showermate and Monsoon ranges are now accessed via a QR code on each product. This will reduce our paper usage by 6 tonnes per year! *based on 2021 unit sales of Monsoon and Showerpump ranges.
Stuart Turner is proud to be one of the founding partners of The Tree Council Platinum Jubilee. The Queen’s Green Canopy will celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. People across the UK are being invited to ‘plant a tree for the Jubilee’ in honour of her Majesty’s 70 years of leadership of the nation.
As a partner, The Tree Council pledge to plant 500 trees and 100 metres of hedgerow over the course of 2 years, on behalf of Stuart Turner and other partners. All trees and hedgerows planted will be included on The Queen’s Green Canopy online map in 2023 once both planting seasons have taken place.
In November, Stuart Turner will be attending the first tree planting event of the season. Tree planting seasons run between November and March each year to increase the chances of tree survival during planting. Over the course of our partnership, this means we will partake in two planting seasons to reach our goal.
