Worldwide heat pump manufacturer goes to ISH

International heat pump manufacturer CTC is marking its ninetieth birthday by exhibiting at ISH 2013 – the world’s leading energy trade fair for installers, architects and public authorities, which takes place at Frankfurt’s Exhibition Centre from 12 -16 March.
CTC is showcasing its most energy efficient products to date at ISH – including its new range of air and ground source heat pumps, biomass and control products. This is all packaged under the Energyflex concept of managing multiple renewable heat sources and heating zones.
With more than 2,300 exhibitors from market leaders around the world, Cliff Arnold, CTC’s General Manager has an eye on the export market: “The European market continues to offer an established international manufacturer like CTC plenty of opportunities.”
Cliff believes the UK market will be given a kick-start by The Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in 2013, which has proposed a Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI 2) for the domestic sector and a possible increase in the RHI tariff for ground source heat pumps in commercial, industrial and community buildings.
The tariff could see the current rate double to a recommended 9.4p per KWh. “If it happens then brilliant,” adds Cliff. “If energy reduction, carbon saving and an attractive return on investment is what businesses and organisations are after, then high-performance ground source heat pumps are the way forward.”
