Band of Builders named official charity partner for InstallerSHOW 2027

InstallerSHOW has announced Band of Builders as its official charity partner for 2027, joining forces to support members of the UK construction industry and their families when they need it most.

Band of Builders provides practical, financial and wellbeing support to tradespeople and their families following life-changing illness or injury. The partnership will help the charity raise awareness of its work among InstallerSHOW’s extensive community of installers, tradespeople, manufacturers and industry organisations.

Fundraising will begin well ahead of InstallerSHOW 2027, with team members Anna Costain and Jade O’Donovan taking on the London Marathon in support of Band of Builders. The pair will tackle the 26.2-mile course to raise vital funds for the charity, with the InstallerSHOW community invited to support them throughout their training and on race day.

The partnership will culminate at InstallerSHOW 2027, where visitors and exhibitors will have a range of opportunities to get involved. A programme of fundraising activities will take place across the show, bringing the industry together to raise money, increase awareness and celebrate the extraordinary work carried out by Band of Builders.

Gavin Crane, Chief Executive of Band of Builders, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be named InstallerSHOW’s official charity partner for 2027. InstallerSHOW brings together so many people and organisations from across our industry, making it a fantastic platform to raise awareness of the support that is available through Band of Builders and, importantly, to raise the funds that enable us to continue delivering that much-needed support.

“What makes this partnership particularly exciting is the opportunity to bring the whole InstallerSHOW community together behind our work. From Anna and Jade taking on the London Marathon, through to the fundraising and activities planned at the show itself; there will be lots of ways for people to get involved.

“A huge thank you to the entire InstallerSHOW team for choosing to support Band of Builders. We’re really looking forward to working together over the coming months and making InstallerSHOW 2027 something very special.”

Lucy Dixon, Head of Engagement at InstallerSHOW, said: “Band of Builders represents everything that is brilliant about the construction industry: people coming together, looking after their own and stepping up when someone needs help.

“The work Band of Builders does makes a genuine difference to tradespeople and their families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and we want to use the reach of InstallerSHOW to help that support go even further.

“Anna and Jade are showing we mean business by running the London Marathon, and we know the whole InstallerSHOW community will get behind them. We’re also planning plenty of fundraising opportunities at the show itself, giving visitors, exhibitors and partners lots of ways to join in, have some fun and raise money for an extremely important cause.”

Band of Builders has become one of the construction sector’s best-known charities, creating a network of support for members of the trade community facing challenging circumstances. Its work reflects the strong sense of camaraderie that exists across the industry and the belief that no tradesperson or family should have to face adversity alone.

Further details about Anna and Jade’s marathon fundraising, along with the activities planned for InstallerSHOW 2027, will be announced in the coming months.
